We find ourselves gasping for air where there is none
We know this means our funerals, but still we fight like hell!
Until the cold- it surrenders to warmth/serenity
We're greeted by strangers until we remember that these are no strangers at all
We've all got songs inside our heads, burning holes into our hearts
Making a place for us to hide for hard times… sometimes…
And if I die with this anger in my heart
If I leave without knowing why I never told you
You are my everything
And we're pulled from the water as if by the hand of The Baptist
And they know that we're done for, but still they fight like hell
With a breath and a violent touch, we've our minds made up:
If we've kept our friends waiting, we're sorry but you're just go' have to keep waiting some more
We've all got songs inside our heads, burning holes into our hearts
Making a place for us to hide for hard times… sometimes…
And if I die with this anger in my heart
If I leave without knowing why I never told you
You are my everything
