The Roof, The River, Or The Revolver
Last night it was so dark and cold
cause the rain that fell on him was the life that she stole
he'll pick her back up, please say this is the last time
that those tracks that they followed until their last goodbye
and she creeps so slow
he just weeps, please go
He can't take anymore of this
her roof is hit or miss
and she screams and cries
she can't open her eyes
to feel their last kiss
She wakes up at noon, cold sweat to the sound
that she finally realized it was all a dream now
then she walks outside, cold feet on the sunburnt ground
he's got nothing to lose and he's floating face-down
in a river of tears, her fears came without sound
In an unlit room, forty-two minutes 'til midnight
smoke from a candle goes up and with it so does a memory
the memory of love, and the spirit
the spirit of everything they ever had, and now it's gone
now it's gone
while silence was broken with one mistake
a mis-fired trigger is all it takes
revolver, revolver helps her feel less fake
with one last gaze and dying breath by her man
her nightmare had ended with her left hand
Last night it was dark and cold and the rain wasn't all that fell....
