In the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God, and the Word was God
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us
He is the image of the invisible God
The firstborn of all creation
For by Him all things were created
In Heaven, and on Earth, visible and invisible
Whether thrones or dominions
Or rulers or authorities
All things were created through Him and for Him
And He is before all things
And in Him all things hold together
When Paul says this, He’s writing to a Church that’s
Confused about Jesus’ identity
For some, Jesus was one of many options
For spiritual enlightenment
But Paul says, no - no - no - let’s be clear here
This Jesus you’re debating
He created all things
Everything was created through Him and for Him
So Paul says whether you’re a Christian or not
Agnostic or atheist - here’s the reality
Jesus is holding the earth on its axis
It’s a perfect distance from the sun to the earth to sustain life
One inch to the left, or one inch to the right, and it’s all chaos
Yes, Paul says, Jesus did that
He’s holding the molecules in your body together
So that whether you acknowledge Him or not
He’s speaking to you every single day
And just in case you didn’t get that message
He did something even more radical
He made the invisible God visible
By taking on flesh and experiencing everything
Each and every one of us experience
A personal God that requires a personal response
A response that millions of transformed people
Have given for over two thousand years
Hello, Jesus
Hallelujah
